The Kalao Citadel
The Citadel is Kalao’s social sandbox — a place for you to meet other players, chat via text and voice, explore NFT galleries and interact with your favorite Avalanche protocols. It’s the perfect location to have community (or private) events, showcase NFTs or to socialize with others.
The status quo
The Citadel focuses on social multiplayer experiences. You can join the community in public spaces, participate in private events, or even host them yourself.
Stroll through NFT showrooms and chat with others via text and voice. (Yes, we also have emotes). Listen to live DJ sets, or AMAs.
From the Citadel, you can also open your own NFT gallery events in Kalao Vision.
Shops are where you can directly experience dApps and NFT collections, just like the gallery we released in collaboration with our partner Chikn.
Of course we want you to be able to express yourself, providing a variety of customization options for your avatar.

A look beyond
Our mission is to build a decentralized metaverse which honors crypto’s ideals. As people spend more and more time online, virtual spaces will become an increasingly important new medium for social and economic activity. Just like the physical world, property rights will drive economic activity within online worlds. NFTs can act as a transparent record of ownership and authenticity.

In order to grow the Citadel sustainably we will expand and decentralize it gradually.
- New locations and activities, such as minigames
- User-generated 3D assets: Create, import and sell your own assets such as clothing, accessories, room decor and others. All tradable as NFTs to support a community-centric economy.
- Ability for users to own shops within the Citadel
- Bigger servers that can host more players
About Kalao
Kalao is an NFT and Metaverse ecosystem built on Avalanche. Our product suite includes an NFT marketplace, NFT launchpad (Kalao Go), a whitelabel NFT marketplace engine (for example for web3 in-game marketplaces) and a Metaverse experience on PC and in VR (Kalao Vision, Kalao Citadel).
