Avalanche Major News

• Apricot Phase 1 successfully went live. Learn about the upgrade and future Apricot Phases via this clubhouse recording.

• Prosper launched their prediction market on the C-Chain. There’s currently a “prediction mining” program to incentivise use of the platform.

• Covalent are launching a “1 Million Wallets” Avalanche focused Hackathon where devs can win $15k in prizes. The Hackathon runs April 6th – 19th, 2021.

Staking (P-Chain)

• AvalancheGo v1.3.1 released. Update is optional, but encouraged. The patch includes stability, monitoring improvements, and minor bug fixes.

• Updated dashboards for Grafana released, also added a Main dashboard with the most important data and links to other dashboards

• Stats:

  • 77.98% staking ratio (298,060,689 AVAX) – ↓ 1.2% from last week

  • ~10.6% current staking reward per year

  • 894 Validators – ↓ 5 from last week

Asset Layer (X-Chain) and DApp Layer (C-Chain)

• Snowball launched their StableVault. It’s the first stablecoin based AMM on Avalanche and is a 3 token pool between USDT, BUSD, and DAI.

• Penguin Finance launched and attracted > $5.5M in liquidity without a UI

• TrustSwap went live on the C-Chain

• PandaSwap launched their AMM

• Someone spammed the C-Chain to speed up the PandaSwap launch, read about why this was possible and how this was achieved.

• Avaxtars, an NFT game enabled the claim NFT and marketplace functionality however the game itself is not released yet.

• The Snowies NFT marketplace went live.

• The Avalanche Beta Wallet now supports Audio/Video NFTs

• Stats:

  • 3,316 assets issued on the X & C chains

  • 50,967 total AVAX burned 🔥 – ↑ 9,990 from last week
