Avalanche Major News

• Apricot Phase One, the next major upgrade, will activate on Mainnet at March 31st, 14:00 UTC. The upgrade includes a 50% reduction in tx fees.

• The Avalanche web wallet is integrating Nash to provide a fiat -> AVAX solution directly in wallet, it will be live in Q2. Additionally, AVAX fiat markets will soon be available on Nash and AVAX will be integrated to the Nash non-custodial wallet.

• Avalaunch, an on-chain fundraising platform, came out of stealth mode

Staking (P-Chain)

• Stats:

  • 79.18% staking ratio (302,494,201 AVAX) – ↑ 0.3% from last week

  • ~10.61% current staking reward per year

  • 899 Validators – ↑ 14 from last week

Asset Layer (X-Chain) and DApp Layer (C-Chain)

• CryptoSeals, an interactive, generative NFT collectibles project, launched on the C-Chain.

• Snowies, a unique NFT collection launched & sold out quickly.

• Elk Finance, a Cross-chain Liquidity Network, launched a DEX on the C-Chain

• Prosper announced will be launching on 29th March

• BENQI are building an algorithmic liquidity market protocol (like AAVE) on Avalanche. Read their announcement here.

• Pandaswap said they’re launching this week, but have yet to, so keep an eye on them today / this weekend!

• PolarBear Finance are launching another RFI style token

• Lydia Swap, announced they’re launching a decentralized exchange platform for Avalanche and Ethereum assets.

• Axelar teased BTC on Avalanche via their cross chain solution.

• Stats:

  • 1,139 assets issued on the X & C chains

  • 40,977 total AVAX burned 🔥 – ↑ 6,054 from last week

Stuff for Devs

• Avalanche Workshop | Chainlink Hackathon Workshop featuring Connor Daly

• The Avalanche Learn Pathway Tutorial Series by Figment Learn has published a set of tutorial videos

• Developer Docs are now available in French

• Ortelius v1.3.0 released

Ecosystem

• You can now see ARC20 token holder lists in Avascan. Read more in their blog.

• Small Updates from the Avalanche Ecosystem excellent roundup video by Cedernets

• Gabriel Cardona, Stephen Buttolph, Aaron Buchwald & Jay Kurahashi-Sofue will be discussing the Apricot Upgrade on Clubhouse at March 29th, 1:00 PM EDT

• Pangolin Governance will likely be starting earlier than expected, now anticipated between April 2nd and April 9th.

• Some ideas for a Pangolin roadmap by Hari Seldon

• Farm Snowballs changed their name to YieldYak to avoid confusion with Throw Snowballs

• AVAX Payment Poster Generator, use this site to create posters for accepting AVAX in person (via QR code).

• An Avalanche Facebook Group was created
