• AvalancheGo v1.0.5 released – includes performance improvements and some quality of life improvements. N.B. the next release v1.0.6 will contain breaking changes, validators will be required to upgrade their nodes.

• Avalanche Forum: a place for technical discussions related to Avalanche and its community was launched. It’s already quite active with discussions starting around new clients, cross chain bridges and more.

Staking (P-Chain)

• Avascan added some interesting details to their staking stats page. Excellent insights about how and where nodes are being run.

• How to Run Avalanche At Home With Oracle VM VirtualBox by FireStorm

• Speedrun video showing how to run an Avalanche validator node in less than 15 minutes by Avalanche Hub

• Set up an Avalanche node on Windows 10 by Ponay

• Stats:

  • 79% staking ratio (283,428,616 AVAX) – ↑ 1% from last week

  • ~11% current staking reward per year

  • 610 Validators – ↓ 2 from last week

Asset Layer (X-Chain)

• 240 assets have been issued on the X-chain – ↑ 39 from last week

• Bridged versions of ETH and BTC will soon™ be arriving on the X-Chain

DApp Layer (C-Chain)

• Ava Labs teased plans to launch AVAXWAP a Uniswap implementation on the C-Chain.

Stuff for Devs

• New revamped developer documentation with streamlined content has been launched. If you spot something that could be added or improved PRs are encouraged!

• Gabriel Cardona has written a few short scripts you might find useful:

  • Cross chain swaps back and forth from X & P chain.

  • Create a keypair from a privkey, sign a msg and verify it with that keypair.

• How to Create ERC-20 tokens on Avalanche C-Chain by Murat Celiktepe

• Discussion on how to import assets from the X to C chain.
