Congress of the Mexican State of Quintana Roo Uses Avalanche to Optimize Transparency in its Legislative Process

Congress of the Mexican State of Quintana Roo is implementing Avalanche to become the first national congress to use it for the digital certification of its legislative documentation

The Congress of the Mexican State of Quintana Roo is implementing Avalanche’s technology, becoming the first national congress to use it for the digital certification of its legislative documentation, which works through the correspondence and file management system.

The initiative will guarantee the integrity and transparency of legislative documentation for citizens, entities, and deputies against the modification or destruction of the initiatives presented. Every initiative will be linked to a QR code, that when scanned will take readers to the site where they can download and validate the document.

The application of this technology is not easy, because many networks are congested and can’t scale to meet these needs. For this reason, the governing body selected Avalanche over existing ones after extensive research and analysis.

In adopting blockchain technology for Public Administration of the region, the Presidency of Quintana Roo’s Congress is innovating with Legislative Power, and seeks to be an example of transparency and modernization for not only the region, but other Congresses, Entities and Municipalities that seek to improve their information security processes for their constituents.
